I am wrapping up my writing of the “Cleaning and Caring for your toys” lecture.

It is appauling how manytimes I have been in dungeons where there was no care given to the leather equipment, no condoms used on the sex toys, and other highly questionable practices of toy hygien.

It seems that sorces are in conflict on the disinfecting of leather…
One will tell you never to use acohol, while another recommends you to soak the surface in it.

In actuality, alcohol isn’t as effective as this scene gives it credit for…If anyone ever paid attention to my travel tackle box of BDSM toys…I have a small spray bottle always on hand with not just rubbing alcohol but 15% of the liquid contained is bleach.

Many people I have seen never clean leather at all…and then others fear the distruction of their toys…
People, leather should regularly be conditioned as well as the alcohol ad disinfecting that can dry it excessively!!!

I wish hospital sanitizers weren’t so hard to aquire and so friggin’ expensive…but then again such prevention of the spread of disease is far less expensive than the potential complications arrising from staph, hepatitis, fungi, tuberculosis, and a long list of other ailments left by the numerous body fluids that potentially get on equipment.

Peni drip, vaginas ooze, they both occasionally squirt…then there is the toxins released in the skin while playing which often will contain an invisible or slightly visible tint of blood, and the sneezing, breathing, and other saliva/mucous transfers possible in this lifestyle.

Even more odd is that many people don’t think twice about using sex toys with out condoms. Even if this toy is used on only one person it is still advised that you cover it in a barrier. I even put a rubber glove over my body massager.

And a fright I have often encountered in my personal life is those who don’t think that a glove is neccessary in anal play if with their regular lover…hello, staph and other things live under finger nails…one scratch on the sensitive tissues of the anus and you welcome in a ton of diseases and infection. Much less the fact that cleaning thouroughly under fingernails is almost impossible and you could get fecal matter under then, wash them after and then wipe your eyes, pop a pimple, scratch an itch…and find out that washing still left behind this feces ad fluids, which now have incubated and entered your system in such a simple way.
