I can’t wait.

We have Mistress Amrita ( http://www.tokyomistress.com )all the way in from Tokyo and Creme Brulee’ from Ixion Burlesque Company in NYC performing with the Lil Beaux Peepshow and to boot it is my birthday at midnight, and Mardi Gras.

We need you to come out and support this performer and the Lil Beaux Peepshow. Show the owners of our larger live venues the interest in fetish performers and burlesque, so maybe one day they will be supporting us in holding a fetish event people will travel great distances to attend.

The show begins promomptly at 9 p.m., and the Howlin Wolf double booked tonight, so the show will end at 11, before a band takes over the venue. I was hoping that we would get to have the whole evening, but that just leaves us able to go else where and celebrate.

Amrita is the first international fetish performer I know of to do a show in a regular venue, advertised to the public in all of New Orleans. There have been demos and workshops at local functions held by NOBLE and NOSS, but this is actually the type of show that is done at major fetish events like Torture Garden and Rubber Ball. And it is done in a non-bdsm environment with a prodominantly vanilla audience, so it will be reaching a lot of people that have misconceptions about the sensual nature and art that bondage and S&M really is.

Who knows, maybe this will lead to us slowly bringing more performers from international fetish events to town, and building an interest enough to make a major fetish event happen here. This town could use it. We have great nightlife and tourist attractions for other events, why not for fetish events?

I intend to bring Amrita back as often as I can so we can get a fetish event worth people traveling across the world to attend. Also, I get the added bonus of learning more about shibari techniques (the ones only able to be learned by private instruction).

I hope all of you try to support this type of performance in our city, as well as the Lil Beaux Peepshow. Show large venues like Howlin’ Wolf that there is a market to hold and house such events. Not just the bands like Genitorturers and Impotent Sea Snakes, but real fetish celebrities.

I talked to Mistress Persephone, and she is waiting for me to find a way to get her a show or event to do here. Many Mistresses love New Orleans, and travel for sessions here..so we definitely are over due for something like this, especially after the cancellation of “Fetish in the Fall”.
