There was a knock at the door today. I opened it thinking it was Lucia arriving for her session. It was my neighbor instead. In her arms she had a quite heavy box with a bow on it and a card with my name. Appearantly, I had missed a delivery. There is now a rather nice, and definitely a conciderably high priced bottle of champagne in the fridge.

Natasha was with me when it arrived and she declined to want to open it. The XBF and I chatted on the phone about it, but it seems not I or anyone else is interested in drinking. Even though it isn’t rare that I don’t feel like drinking, I am in New Orleans and it is Mardi Gras, and no one felt like drinking.

Atleast the XBF reminded me that it will be a great way to great Amrita when she arrives. Popping a bottle and kicking back. I am sure she will want to relax here and adjust after her travels, especially since there is a whole week for her to be a tourist. I imagine no less than the first 3-4 hours will be becoming comfortable and settling down in the house as my guest and perhaps getting dinner.
