Kenner Police are telling local hotels to not entertain the Alternative Lifestyles during the Fetish in the Fall convention.

What are they going to do about it?
Having a couple of Dance Balls and lectures is not illegal. What are they going to do about it. The only thing they could prevent is the play parties. What a bunch of red neck biggots.

Maybe this is why the City of New Orleans and it’s outlying areas have never had a convention like this. But they never have prevented the porn or sex conventions in that shitty burb.

  1. FIF is cancelled.

From what I understand, Nawlins in November (the swingers convention put on by the people putting on FIF) got so big they couldn’t share the downtown NO hotel with FIF, like they’d planned. So they decided to change venues. I’ve never held a convention before, but I can’t see how they could successfully change venues this late in the game.

So let’s see. BlackRose is crippled. FIF is gone. This is turning out as a banner year…

  2. What is this the year for people to fuck with other people’s conventions???What I don’t get is Mardi Gras where people flash, have sex in the alleys and rob people is just fine and ok.But a BDSM con where people are minding their own damn business and everybody isn’t ok???

  3. Kenner says we would be ruining their familyy way…they have a Dominatrix in that area doing sessions there, and they don’t know who is or isn’t, and fuck, we aren’t doing it in the playground at their schools

  4. Well hell welcome to the your convention is evil and bad club.HA HA HA.Family way my butt NOTHING and NOWHERE in Louisiana is wholesome and a family place.

  5. The RAVE act….

That is how they can stop Hotels from holding the events…It holds the venue (and all of its owners) responsible for ANY drug use that occurs at an event where such use is deemed “Likely” to occur.

I made this comment before reading what any of the other comments made to this entry said, so I may just be repeating what someone else has said.

Ashcroft, Walters, and Hutchinson (although he is now at Homeland Security) all think that “Fetish” culture/lifstyles are the work of Satan. They have made public comments Exactly to this effect using the words “Goth”, “Fetish”, “Satanic”, “Immoral”, “Obscenties” all in the context of the sub-cultures that they would like to have completely outlawed. They are all complete fanatical born-again Christians, and think that killing people who (as they put it) actively align themselves with Satan is OK and that “God” has told them that it is the right thing to do…

But back to the RAVE act…It has already been used to stop fifteeen events in the U.S. that have nothing to do with “Drug” use, but that actively oppose many administration policies. never the less many people who attend these events are “Counter/Sub” Cultural and as such are likely to use substances that the government currently outlaws…Because it is considered “public Knowledge” that these “sub-Cultural” events have people who might do drugs the law stipulates that holding an event where these people will attend is essentially giving them permission to do drugs at the event, and that knowledge of this is enough to hold the owners/management of any venue that allows such events to be held is guilty of the same offenses as those who might use an illegal substance…Even further. If it cannot be proved that the “Sub-Culture” in question is involved with any drug use…The presence of any medical staff, or persons with knowledge of how to treat emergencies that might arise from the use of drugs (even if that is not why the person with such knowledge is there) is also an admission that drug use is taking place on the premises, and you are right back to being guilty of something that has not even been proved to have happened at all (or if it has no-one has seen it) and thus by our laws (or at least as they used to be) no-one has commited a crime..Unless it falls under the headings of the RAVE act…Where you can be guilty of breraking a law without actually having anyone do any illegal substances just because you have people who are aware that it “Might” happen….

That is how the police can stop the event from happening…
