You are aware, are you not, that in Native American culture women are exempt from performing the Sun Dance as a rite of passage, since they go through childbirth to the same end? That is, unless they are unable to bear children.

I really want to do it a lot more, and very often…hook up with a local group to Dallas.

Seriously, ‘though. If Dallas were closer, I might look into it. As it stands, Dallas is an hour away, and I doubt very highly that there are many suspension groups in the Sherman-Dennison area. If there were, I’m not sure I’d want to trust them…
It’s just not feasible for me to commute back and forth to Dallas for something like that… getting to know the people involved… training… they all take time, and that’s not something I have a lot of these days, especially not when it’s time spent sitting in traffic. ::(
